Totally Tubular

I found these tubes some years back. Joe and I went there and tried to skate them, but only came out with a couple kickturns and bruises. I have been trying to get some tranny skaters in there for a while, but sometimes the tubes leave and don't come back for months at a time. I finally took some heads by there on our way to another spot and it proved to be most fruitful.First we had to roll the tube so that the porthole would be low enough to climb in.
Climbing in was the easy part.
Climbing out was not quite as easy........
......until we rolled the tube all the way over.
Once inside you have a whole host of dangers to avoid. Such as losing your board into a blind spot.
Or trying to keep urethane wheels gripped to plastic transitions.
and finally VERTIGO!
Shooting it was no picnic either. The porthole is barely big enough for head and shoulders. Also the tube rocks, so I had to rock with it. This made looking through the lens almost impossible. Not to mention boards are like space bullets in there. And cameras seem to be magnets.
But the finals made it worth all the peril.
